Had to move mine as far forward as possible to give proper clearance between the rear u-bolts and the bed. Which made it necessary to slightly adjust the parking brake cable routing. Also needed to have the threads of the bent u-bolts (which attach at the axle) cut down by about 1". Otherwise not even a deep socket will work. Probably could cut down the threads of the end u-bolts so a deep socket would work for them also. I'm not taking them back off now, so I just use a ratcheting wrench on them. Make sure you have a torque wrench and a 7/8" deep socket for the nuts. A wrench that can open to 7/8" is needed to adjust the end u-bolts. At least mine came with 7/8" nuts (for 1998 F150 supercab 4x4). Make sure to tighten the end u-bolts with a load in the bed or a trailer hitched up (per the instructions) otherwise they will rattle because they're too loose when the vehicle ... »
